What is a sleep reset score? How Sleep Reset turns your routine into a bedtime plan
When a sleep schedule drifts — late nights, heavy mornings, a weekend that undoes the week — advice like "sleep more" does not say where to start. Sleep Reset is our iPhone app that starts with a number instead: answer its onboarding questions about your goals and routine, and it gives you a free sleep reset score and a recovery outlook. This guide explains what the score is, what the paid plan adds, and our first measured month, reported honestly.
How does the score work?
The score is built from your answers, not from a sensor. During onboarding the app asks about your goals and your current routine, then returns two things for free: a sleep reset score, which summarises how far your routine is from the one you are aiming at, and a recovery outlook, which shows the direction your next days could take if you follow the plan. It is a starting point for a routine, not a prediction of your results and not a medical assessment.
What does the paid plan add?
A paid subscription unlocks the working parts of the reset:
- A personalised reset plan built from your score, instead of generic advice.
- Bedtime timing, so the plan lands on an actual clock time in your evening.
- Guided breathwork — follow the breathing count as part of your bedtime routine.
- Next-morning steps, so the reset continues after you wake up instead of ending at the pillow.
Sleep Reset requires iOS 18.0 or later.
Our first measured month, honestly
In the 28 days from 10 October to 6 November 2026, App Store Connect recorded 305 impressions and 4 downloads for Sleep Reset — the smallest start of any app we publish. We are publishing the number anyway. This blog exists so that the measured record, good or bad, is public and dated; if the score idea is going to earn its audience, it will have to do it from 4 downloads upward, and future articles in this category will report whether it did.
Common questions
Is the sleep reset score free?
Yes. The score and the recovery outlook are free. The personalised plan, bedtime timing and guided breathwork require a paid subscription.
Is the score a medical assessment?
No. It is a routine-based starting point, not a diagnosis. If sleep problems persist or seriously affect your days, talk to a clinician.
Which devices can I use?
Sleep Reset is for iPhone and requires iOS 18.0 or later. Check the App Store for current compatibility.
Where can I get Sleep Reset?
On the App Store, and you can read more on the Sleep Reset product page.
